Mountain is a gentle flow series meant to warm the body to prepare for the practice. Garden is a gentle hip opening sequence. Tree introduces the viewer to four traditional postures for meditation, while Wind focuses on the breath and Sky is a seated meditation. This practice is meant to connect one's mind and body with the Earth's energy.

- Surya Namaskar begins and ends with the hands at the heart center.
- This series is usually comprised of twelve postures.
- Vinyasa means "coordination of breath with movement."
- Sun Salutations lengthen the spine and stretch the hamstrings.
- This practice helps us center ourselves and quiet our minds.
