- Toss out the items you rarely or never use.
- Stock your pantry with gray salt a basic essential. Michael also recommends seasoned salts and fennel.
- Other "must-haves" are olive oil, organic pasta, red wine vinegar and anchovies.
- Vanilla, saffron and truffle oil are all special items to have on hand.
