Maurya Indian Cuisine (106) Iqubal Grewal, and Lalit Charma met as 15-year-old dishwashers. Now 35, they are collaborating on a dream--a 4,500 square-foot, 80-seat, modern Indian restaurant.
Aiming high, they work with a renowned architect and are planning to bring in a team of chefs from India, and are even constructing a special "spice room." But the price tag has climbed to $2.5 million and there are myriad delays.
