Riingo (211)Superstar chef Marcus Samuelsson was orphaned at the age of two in his native Ethiopia. Adopted by Swedish parents, he learned to cook from his grandmother. Working first in Europe, then New York, Marcus has become famous for his innovative take on Swedish cuisine at the celebrated restaurant Aquavit.
He decided to take a big chance by going in a completely new direction with Riingo (Japanese for "apple"), a restaurant featuring Japanese-American cuisine.
