In essence, Wardrobe Clarification means editing your wardrobe. The existing wardrobe is cleansed and edited, new hangers are purchased and closets are organized only with items the client and stylist agree are appropriate to their defined style. Stylists like Joe Lupo, a personal stylist for men at Visual Therapy, shop for things that are missing in the edited wardrobe and present a wide collection to the client.
How It Works
- The process begins with an initial discussion between the client and Visual Therapist to be sure there is a connection and mutual understanding of how it works and the clients personal style. (no charge)
- If there is a mutual connection, the client schedules wardrobe clarification, a minimum of 1/2 day in the closet with the Visual Therapist editing the wardrobe. The Visual Therapist then organizes the remaining wardrobe and makes notes as to what is needed to fill it in.
- The Visual Therapist shops the city and brings all merchandise to the clients home or office for a presentation, if needed a tailor will accompany the Visual Therapist to fit the new looks.
- A follow-up appointment is made for the Visual Therapist to take pictures of new looks and create a catalog of the new wardrobe for the client to refer to.
- Each season the process is repeated.
Visual Therapy donates all discarded clothes to local charities.
Price
- $450 per hour, not to exceed $3,600 per day.
- For shopping, client will be billed 20% of merchandise SRP, or $450 per hour spent with the client presenting the new merchandise, whichever is greater.
