The Big Island is home to Mauna Loa, the world's largest volcano and Kilauea, the world's most active volcano. Although all beaches and parks in Hawaii are public and open for use in wedding ceremonies, you must obtain a wedding license from the state to get married in Hawaii. Peak season for weddings is considered to be mid-May through August, with off-season rates beginning in September and running through mid-May. Be sure to take weather conditions into consideration — while light rain showers occur regularly in the off-season, heavy rains are most likely December through February.
