Details

The third hole is where surging inlet water races to meet the rocky shoreline, affording one of the most breathtaking views in golf today.

Trivia

On December 8th, 1964, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Gary Player played a made-for-TV match to open this course. When they got to the third tee, Gary Player stepped up on the tee, realized it was 260 yards to the green and realized he couldn't get the ball over the water with his equipment. He refused to play the hole from that location so they moved up to the front tee.
