The Plantation Course winds through pineapple fields and jungle-like vegetation, over rolling green hills and across deep gorges in the volcanic soil. It is almost always buffeted by strong winds.
Details
The 18th is probably the most scenic hole at the Plantation course. The par 5, 663-yard hole is the longest on the PGA. Its scale and drama are unique, but its challenge is within reason.
Trivia
Each year the Plantation Course hosts the tours first event – the Mercedes Championship. The field is comprised of the prior year's tournament winners. Eighteen is the finishing hole of the Mercedes Championship.
