Course Description
Opened in 1981 by Robert Trent Jones Jr. the Beach Course was literally carved from the lava flow along the picturesque Anaeho'o'malu Bay. This course features numerous white sand bunkers, brilliant water features and the most spectacular oceanfront par 5 in Hawaii.
Details
On the second and third shots on this 502-yard hole, avoid lava flows, the Pacific Ocean and strategically placed sand bunkers. In the winter months, views of breaching whales are not uncommon from this scenic hole.
Trivia
This course is the home of the 2002 LPGA season-opening event.
