Playing on Bermuda Grass
Specials : Episode FLAMD-SP03

  • Bermuda grows quickly and toward the sun and ocean. Afternoon putts will break more toward the west.
  • From behind your ball, if the green appears light in color your putt is "down grain," or faster than usual.
  • If the green appears dark in color putt is "against the grain," or slower than usual.
  • For breaking putts on Bermuda greens, play more break than you read.
  • For putts against the grain, strike the ball 20 to 25 percent firmer than normal.
