Playing on Bermuda Grass
Specials : Episode FLAMD-SP03
Bermuda grows quickly and toward the sun and ocean. Afternoon putts will break more toward the west.
From behind your ball, if the green appears light in color your putt is "down grain," or faster than usual.
If the green appears dark in color putt is "against the grain," or slower than usual.
For breaking putts on Bermuda greens, play more break than you read.
For putts against the grain, strike the ball 20 to 25 percent firmer than normal.
