This stein classic is the perfect after-ski drink.
Ingredients:
50-oz. bottle inexpensive red wine (Gallo Burgundy is a good, hearty choice)
2 cups orange juice
2 oranges, halfed
1 lemon, halfed
1 lime, halfed
1 small (1/2-inch long) piece fresh ginger
2 cinnamon sticks
2 cloves
1 star anise
1 cup sugar
2 bay leaves
(you may add 2 cups rum and vodka)
Directions:
Combine all ingredients in a stock pot.
Bring to simmer for 15 minutes.
Serve warm.
