Sharing Family Recipes

  1. Take digital photos of finished dishes
Instead of just writing down the recipes, prepare dishes with family members and take digital photos just like a cookbook. Recording special family recipes is great way to connect with friends and loved ones.

  2. Personalize recipes with color and font choices
Add your own style and personalize your recipes. Most word processing programs make it easy to combine images and text.

  3. Document stories and traditions
Share and preserve more of your family legacy by including a family tree and/or vintage pictures.

  4. Include ingredient and preparation tips
Another option for documenting recipes is videotape. Gather friends or family together to record the cooking process, and spice it up with oral histories about memorable meals.

  5. Make a gift of the recipe and ingredients
Consider giving recipes as gifts with the finished product, or even copies of your completed family cookbook.
