Yachting Adventure: David and Carol Good

David and Carol Good, married 15 years, worked demanding jobs as corporate executives for years to support a rich lifestyle before they were ready for a quieter, simpler lifestyle on the ocean. The sea-cruising life has been David's dream since he was a teenager and Carol was first introduced to cruising when she and David got married. The Goods sold their home in Atlanta to help finance the purchase of a yacht, the Alyeska, which took two and a half years to construct, beginning in early 2000. Carol, a novice, took sailing classes in Vancouver and now the two are living their dream life on the water. Home port is Ketchikan, Alaska.

The Chile Man: Robert Farr

Robert Farr's transition into organic farming began while he was still working as a top marketing executive at Oracle. He grew hot peppers in his spare time and loved to experiment with hot sauces and salsa. Twenty years was long enough as a marketing guru, so Farr handed in his resignation and decided to pursue another dream?farming! The Farr family moved to Purcellville, Virginia and now farms full time — 120 types of plant all grown from seed, including 100 varieties of chile pepper. Under the Chile Man label, the Farrs sell a variety of hot sauces, salsa and mustard on the Internet and at local fairs. The Chile Man also creates "private labels" for corporate clients to offer at corporate events.
