World Travelers and Aloha Dudes (109)
Meet Jon and Sylvia Duncanson—a one-time husband/wife anchor team who worked in a major news market making great money. One day, while watching people sailing on Lake Michigan, they realized that their lives lacked serenity and enjoyment. So, they bought a sailboat, spent a summer learning how to sail and subsequently quit their jobs to see the world by air and sea. Along the way, they fell in love with and purchased a stone villa in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Now the Duncansons get to spend time renovating their mountaintop haven during the hurricane season, when their boat is docked in the marina.

Next, visit with Jeff Tidwell, who has always been a bohemian at heart despite a 15-year career inventing communication methods for corporations. One year while vacationing in Hawaii, he met what he thought was a crazy old man who lived on a remote Kauai beach. As he talked to the man, Tidwell realized the man who fell asleep to the waves and awoke to the sunrise each morning wasn't so crazy after all. Before leaving the island, Tidwell found his bohemian dream—three huts on a remote, lush beach. Today, he and his partner, Mike, run Aloha Dude Vacation Rental.
