Benito Trevino, Jr., chemist turned native habitat restorer; Rio Grande City, Texas

Great Lakes Adventure, Habitat Restorer (208)
Meet two schoolteachers who take a departure from anything they've done before. Their childhood dreams were met when they began a kayak expedition. They started at Lake Superior, then paddled 2000 miles through Lakes Erie, Huron and Ontario. They met their goal of making it to the St. Lawrence Seaway on their Radical Sabbatical.

Most people don't think of flowers and trees when they think of chemists. But in this episode we meet a former chemist who discovered that gardening is a cure for stress. His drastic move from Alaska to Texas gave him the opportunity to find his true roots.
