Jim Sullivan teaches children from Vanuatu Island, South West Pacific, to sail on a catamaran.

Ocean Friends and Chocolatiers (105)
Jim Sullivan, a one-time advertising executive, came to a crossroads when the needs of his agency required opening an additional office or partnering with another firm. He ultimately decided to reject both options and follow his dreams of sailing the high seas. Sullivan and his dog, Captain Melody, are now in the midst of a multi-year sail around the world. Dubbed OceanFriends: The Voyage, the goal of Sullivan's travels is bridging cultural gaps by sharing his life experience with hospitalized children, school kids, the underprivileged and the elderly.

Next, see how John Scharffenberger and Robert Steinberg turned a sweet tooth into a sweet dream. Scharffenberger had operated a winery in Mendocino County, Calif., while Steinberg worked as a family physician until being diagnosed with terminal lymphoma. Both were in search of a new adventure, which they found in chocolate. Today, they own Scharffen Berger Chocolates, a successful business based in Berkeley, and Steinberg's improved health has astounded his doctors.
