Time-Saving Tips for Fall
By Molly Gold
Most families consider fall to be the start of a new year of celebrations. With a new school year and the return of an active schedule for your busy family, this holiday season could snowball into chaos before you know it.
Here are some tips that can help you stay ahead of the game:
- Incorporate fall holidays into your calendar as you enter this years school and family events. This will help you remain mindful of special occasions that are coming. Look for communication about school holidays and field trips and policies about how these events will be recognized.
- Protect long weekends on the calendar with activities that highlight the season, such as apple picking, a visit to the pumpkin patch or a trip to a historical site in your area.
- Expect costumes and school and community performances to complement most if not all fall holidays. Save yourself time and money by borrowing any props you can and purchasing inexpensive accessories not easily found at home.
- Keep your camera and camcorder in top condition to capture the many colors and activities your family is sure to share.
