Well, what they say is true. Even in rain, sleet, hail or snow, postal workers keep on keepin' on, as Gladys Knight would say. Likewise, the junk mail that they deliver keeps on coming!
No one wants to receive several pieces of mail each day that are not even worth looking at. I think of junk mail the same as death and taxes: its inevitable. But all is not lost! Although neither rain nor snow stops the mail carriers, we can stop the amount of junk mail they bring.

To end credit card solicitations, call 1-888-567-8688 (1-888-5OPT-OUT). The three major credit bureaus will remove your name from preapproved credit offers (good for two years). One phone call is all you need for the three credit bureaus: Experian, Equifax, Inc. and TransUnion; however, you will need to make a separate phone call for each Social Security number in your household. Listen to all options before selecting.
After about six weeks you will notice a significant decrease in the amount of mail in your box each day. This may encourage you to organize your "other mail" -- e-mail -- and its evil twin -- spam!
