A simple starter to going "green" is to implement solar into your lifestyle.

"Green" is taking the nation by storm. Whether you're already "living green" or are curious about ways to help the environment, here are few simple starters...

  • Be efficient.
In your home, consider efficient use of resources. Did you know laptops use less energy than desktops, showers less water than baths, and that hand-washing delicates is better than sending them to the dry cleaners?

  • Say "yes" to green power.
To support renewable energy, check whether your utility offers "green power." This supports advances in technology and increases electricity generated from cleaner sources.

  • Go solar.
Look for ways to implement solar into your lifestyle -- for example, outdoor lighting or solar panels.

  • Recycle and reuse.
Finally, avoid waste with small measures, like using your own stylish grocery sack and relying on reusable packing materials. This way you can recycle and reuse.
