Ride of Your Life we take a look at Nissan's brand new 350Z. The 350 is the newest in a storied line of classic, affordable sports cars. Datsun started selling the 240Z in the 1960s and it was an instant success. The new 350Z is a monster it has a 287 horsepower engine and a base price under $30,000. We talk to the owner of a vintage 240 and a brand new 350.
Next, we crash the Harley-Davidsion 100th anniversary party. We sit down with Willie G. Davidson to talk about the past, present and future of these beautiful motorcycles.
Lastly we head up to beautiful Carmel, Calif., for the Concorso Italiano. The Concorso hosted 12,000 spectators this year they all came to see the most beautiful Italian cars in the world.
350z Facts
- Nissan created the Datsun brand in the 1960s.
- Yutaka Katayama, the "Z" car creator, named Datsun's sports car the Z because the letter conjures up mysterious images in many languages.
- The 240 deliniation was made because the 240Z had a 2.4 liter engine. They stuck with this tradition in all Z models including the new 3.5 liter, 350Z.
- MSRP for the base model Nissan 350Z is $26,269.
- The 350Z is available with an onboard tire pressure monitoring system.
