- Dan Gurney's first automobile race was in 1955.

- 2002 marked the 40th anniversary of the Shelby Cobra.
- In 1992 Carroll Shelby was inducted in the Automotive Hall of Fame.
- Carroll Shelby served as a flight instructor and test pilot in World War II.
- In 1956 and 1957, Sports Illustrated named Carroll Shelby "Driver of the Year."

- Gary Patterson has been active in club racing and car clubs over the last 25 years.
- The Series 1 and 2 body is made entirely of lightweight carbon fiber.
- New owners are introduced to the Series 1 by driving one around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
