Want to get away from the usual gifts for the bride and groom? Think about these suggestions.

  • Give or add gadgets to your gift.

  • Check the registry for seasonal items. These might not be appreciated now, but when the holidays roll around, the couple will think of you.

  • Make it something personal, something unique to the couple.

  • Go off the registry.

  • Expand on their list. Is there something on their list that could use a little something extra to make it complete?

  • Smaller servers. Most people think about the serving pieces for large get-togethers, but what about the more intimate entertaining?
