When considering having jewelry custom made, look for a designer who has won awards and belongs to professional organizations.

Generally there are 5 steps to creating a custom piece.

STEP 1: decide what you want

STEP 2: review and approve sketch

STEP 3: make a prototype

STEP 4: make a mold

STEP 5: cast and assemble finished piece

Note: custom fees can add $100 to over $1000 to the cost of the jewelry.
