Feng Shui for Better Home Sales
Simplify Your Life : Episode FLSYL-306

Why not employ the ancient Chinese art of Feng Shui (fung schway) to help you get your house sold faster? According to Feng Shui experts, the first step is to find the southernmost point of your home. This is considered the "grounding spot." Remove any heavy furniture or large artwork. It's akin to picking up anchor and will release the energy that may be holding you to your home.

The northwest corner represents helpful people. Adding metal will improve the odds that your real estate agent will work hard on your behalf. The east, particularly the southeast, represents prosperity and harmony. Living wood, such as a plant, will increase the feeling of harmony potential buyers have when they tour your home.

Finally, make sure the "For Sale" sign is installed on the yang side of the front yard--the right side when you face the front door. The yang side represents manifesting energy and creating change. Feng Shui experts can consult with you regarding the specifics of the home you're selling. Consult one in your area for best results.
