Here are a few ways to help keep the paint on the walls and off your clothes:
Place your paint can on a sturdy paper plate to prevent spilling on your floor or drop cloth.
Before you start painting, rub a thin layer of Vaseline on your hands and skin this will make it easier to wash paint off later.
After pouring paint into your tray, drive a few holes in the lip of the paint can with a nail. This makes any paint in the ring of the lid drip back into the can.
Paint works best at room temperature. If you're going to paint the outside of your house, keep the paint indoors until you're ready to pour it.
Be careful not to overload your roller with paint or it will cause paint to spray onto the floor or your shoes.
Can't reach those high ceilings? Paint rollers and household mops are almost always interchangeable. Simply unscrew the mop handle and attach the roller and you have an instant extension.
