Bourbon Mixed Berries with Grilled Pineapple and Bananas Simply Wine With Andrea Immer : Episode FLSWN-104
Ingredients:
Yield: 2 servings
2 slices pineapples
1 banana, slice vertically with skins
1 Tbs. clarified butter
1/ 2 cup granulated sugar
4-5 cups mixed berries
1 cup of Maker's Mark Bourbon, fill to your liking
Directions:
- Place your mixed berries in a bowl.
- Add sugar and Maker's Mark Bourbon, then toss them with a spoon for about a minute and let sit for 15 minutes.
- Brush the pineapple and banana slices with butter, then place them on the grill, towards the cooler side, or back of the grill.
- Check them every couple minutes. Flip when each side has visible grill marks.
- Cut the pineapple in six triangular slices and cut the banana halves in half.
- Spoon desired amount of berries on the plate, add three slices of pineapple, and half a banana.
- Slice a fresh strawberry in half for garnish.
Recommended wine: Taylor Fladgate 10 year old Tawny
