Norway's National Parks
Norway's ever-expanding national park system boasts stunning natural beauty...without the crowds. In the Borgefjell National Park that lies on the Swedish border, miles of forest, tundra and high mountains provide excellent wilderness backpacking. The area is also an ancestral homeland to the native Sami people.

Farther south, in Jostedalsbreen National Park, Europe's largest mainland glacier begs the adventurous to climb its flanks, with plenty of honest fare and comfortable beds at nearby local farms.
