Yield: 2 servings

Ouzo: Never cook with it and never drink it without food. What better complement to the wonderful ouzo of Greece than the fresh sardines in abundance in its beautiful blue ocean?

Ingredients:

  • 4 fresh sardines (not canned)
  • 1 large lemon, cut in half

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat grill to 350 degrees F (190 C).
  2. Place whole sardines on grill.
  3. Grill sardines for four minutes on each side, then remove from heat and arrange on a plate.
  4. Squeeze the juice from one lemon half lemon over the sardines.
  5. Cut the remaining lemon half into slices for garnish on the plate.
