Chef's Note: Prepare the crêpes first then the syrup
Ingredients:
1/4 cup of butter
1 cup flour
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup of maple syrup
2 Tbs. Maple Cream Brandy
Pinch of salt
Directions:
- Combine all of the ingredients together in a blender and blend until smooth
- Place a frying pan over medium heat
- Spoon about 1/4 cup of the mixture into the pre-heated frying pan; the mixture will make four crêpes.
- Once the top of the crêpe begins to bubble flip it over onto the other side until golden brown.
- Keep the crêpes warm on a heated plate or in a low temperature oven.
Maple Syrup
Ingredients:
3/4 cup of maple syrup
1/4 cup of Maple Whiskey
Directions:
- Re-heat the frying pan over medium heat
- Add the maple syrup and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally
- Add the maple whiskey and flambé.
- Once the alcohol has burned off, place the crêpes into the pan and simmer for 3 minutes.
To Plate: Place on a plate with whipped cream and/or maple sugar and enjoy!
