Kevin Brauch
Host of The Thirsty Traveler
Kevin Brauch began to hone his beverage knowledge while bartending in Toronto. Who knew that seven years of making drinks would come in so handy? In addition to his extensive knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, Kevin graduated from Ryerson University in 1994, and has been a radio and television host, writer, actor and producer.
Today, armed with a backpack and a terrific thirst for adventure, Kevin travels the planet drinking the world's finest spirits, wine and beer, and eating the best food imaginable. Kevin's also able to squeeze in some time as the floor reporter for Food Network's Iron Chef America, and hosts Food Network Canada's Superstar Chef Challenge. In November 2005, Kevin was awarded Canadian Television's highest honor, a Gemini Award as Best Host or Presenter in a Lifestyle or Performing Arts Program for his episode in France and Switzerland on Absinthe.
Kevin stays fit by playing year-round ice hockey, mountain biking, and triathlon training. His guilty pleasures include a steadily growing wine cellar and cheering on the Arsenal Gunners Football Club of London, England.
