Whisky is an important part of Scottish life. Its flavor and composition is celebrated and acknowledged in annual festivals like Edinburgh's Fringe Festival, and at the Scotch Malt Whisky Society, whose headquarters is in one of the oldest commercial buildings in Scotland, The Vaults in Leith.
