Universal Orlando Resort (Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure)

With two theme parks, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Universal Orlando Resort is bigger and more elaborate than Disney-MGM Studios. The resort is also home to the Universal CityWalk shopping and entertainment complex, offering everything visitors need to have family fun, hang out with friends or enjoy a romantic evening. Guests of Universal Orlando Resort can stay at one of three posh fantasy hotels, the Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel or Royal Pacific Resort, or choose from one of several nearby lodgings.

Universal Studios is a movie- and TV-based theme park, complete with a real film and television studio where visitors can go behind the scenes and beyond the screen, right into the action of their favorite movies.

The park offers a range of exciting, high-tech thrill rides based on blockbuster movies, like Jaws, Men in Black Alien Attack, Revenge of the Mummy and Shrek 4-D. There is also tamer fare for children (and adults with weak stomachs), including E.T. Adventure and Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast.

Head over to Islands of Adventure to journey through five remarkable islands where all your favorite myths, legends, comic books, cartoon heroes and children’s stories are brought to life through some of the most innovative rides and attractions ever created. From high-speed roller coasters to whimsical children’s rides to groundbreaking 3-D attractions, Islands of Adventure is the place to enjoy once-in-a-lifetime experiences, every day.

Universal offers various incentives designed to encourage visitors to stay and play on-site, including package discounts and privileged ride access for guests of the three Universal hotels.
