Austin Ghost Tours, the company behind the tour, has extensively researched Austin and Texas history in order to tell the real stories of the people, places and events in the city's past. The companys research is supported by their commitment to sharing the truth about hauntings and ghostly activities taking place not only in Austin, but all over the world.
Once on the tour, youll discover the haunting stories of ghosts that wander the Governor's Mansion, the Capitol and the Driskill. Youll also hear chilling tales of dead wealthy Austinites whose sad spirits remain in the city. A few of Texas other well-known spirits are mentioned, like the peg-legged buccaneer Jean Lafitte in Galveston and the Lady of White Rock Lake in Dallas.
The tour operates year-round, with admission costing $15 per person. Tours start at 8:00PM every Saturday, leaving from Moonshine Patio Bar and Grill (603 East 3rd Street) and ending at the Texas State Capitol Building (Congress Ave. at 11th Street).
Be sure to arrive 15 minutes early so the tour can start on time. Tours run rain or shine, and refunds are not issued for tickets. However, if you give 24-hour cancellation notice prior to your scheduled tour time, you may reschedule within 30 days, subject to availability.
