A visit to "country musics attic" has earned the top spot on the to-do list of any Nashville visitor. The experience begins on the sidewalk with the buildings musically inspired architecture. It continues inside with "Sing Me Back Home," a permanent exhibit that brings the history of country music to life through a collection of rare artifacts, photographs and interactive presentations. A final stop in the rotunda offers a quiet moment of reflection and inspiration.
One of the museums true highlights can be found off site on Music Row. Tours of the Historic RCA Studio B, the 1960s recording home of Elvis Presley and Chet Atkins, are offered daily.
