Golf is a popular pastime on Martha’s Vineyard — sometimes too popular. Locals advise lovers of the game to avoid the crowded and pricey Farm Neck Golf Club in Oak Bluffs. They recommend Mink Meadows Golf Club on the island’s quieter east side in Vineyard Haven. The nine-hole, semi-private club features water views over Vineyard Sound. Non-members can make tee times up to two days in advance.
