Slide Show Tour: 8 Great National Parks
Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone is a milestone, not only for its size at 2.2 million acres, but because it is the first national park established in the world in 1872. Any trip to the Wyoming park must include visits to Old Faithful and some of the other geyser basins, and perhaps a side trip to Yellowstone Lake.
Experience Yellowstone like the early settlers in the West did: eat an old-fashioned chuckwagon dinner with Roosevelt Old West Cookout, 866-439-7375. You'll travel to the cook site in a covered wagon. The menu serves up typical cowboy fare: steak, baked beans and cornbread. While you dine under the stars, a cowboy singer will serenade you, crooning lonesome songs of the Old West.
