10 Great Fall Foliage Drives

Cranberry Highway
Wisconsin

The Cranberry Highway is a self-guided drive that extends along Wisconsin’s hundred-year-old cranberry beds. The best time to visit is between late September and late October, when the vibrant fall colors are at their peak.

The route: The 50-mile Cranberry Highway Tour begins in Wisconsin Rapids and stretches to the town of Warrens. For a map of the highway and possible routes, check out this trail map.

Roadside attractions: Many of the farms along the drive, like Glacial Lake Cranberries, offer marsh tours where visitors can explore and pick their own berries. The Sandhill Wildlife Area, home to bison, white-tailed deer and bald eagles is also worth a stop.
