Rooms With a Boo: 7 Haunted Hotels
Historic Anchorage Hotel, Anchorage, Alaska Ghosts roam the halls at the Historic Anchorage Hotel, and it is so frequent that the manager maintains a journal to keep track of the sightings. Among the resident ghosts is John J. Sturgus, the city's first police chief, who was shot outside the hotel in 1921. Guests also report seeing a young woman wandering the second floor in a wedding dress. She reportedly hanged herself after her groom-to-be left her standing at the altar.
