Some people run away at the first mention of a haunted hotel. Others — you know who you are — travel far and wide to experience one. If you fall into the latter category, the following slideshow is for you.

Scattered throughout the country are a number of histroic hotels and inns that "experts" believe are haunted by the ghosts of people past. Some were the perpetrators of unspeakable acts. Others were their poor victims. Just as many, however, are kindly residents who refuse to leave the place they once loved.
