Room to Relax

Onboard accommodations, called cabins or staterooms in cruising lingo, are typically designated by one of four classifications: interior, oceanview, balcony and suite. As the labels imply, an interior stateroom is located on the interior of the ship and lacks windows. Oceanview is on the ship's exterior and has a view of the water. A balcony room often is identical to the oceanview except for the addition of a private balcony. And a suite, like the gem pictured above from Royal Caribbean, 866-562-7625, offers more space, bigger balconies and separate sleeping and living compartments.
