This is a living museum where you'll see a melting pot of visitors as you learn about America's rich immigrant history. At the American Family Immigration History Center you'll have the opportunity to search through ship manifests and, perhaps, find information about your family's ancestry.

When to go: The summer months and holidays are the busiest.
How to get there: Circle Line-Statue of Liberty Ferry at Battery Park in Lower Manhattan or Liberty State Park in New Jersey
