Charleston's Battery is a park located at the south end of town, next to the waterfront. The antebellum mansions along the Battery are some of the most exquisite homes in the nation. Historic downtown Charleston is certainly worth touring, whether by bus, by horse-drawn carriage, on foot or otherwise.
