Machu Picchu Sanctuary Project, Peru
Explore and restore the Inca Trail in Machu Picchu, assisting archaeologists in cultural restoration and re-planting native trees in an effort to improve this breathtaking World Heritage Site. At elevations of 8,000 to 11,000 feet, this project will be a physical challenge, but one with immeasurable personal rewards.
What's included: This expedition includes leadership costs, airfare, tours of local points of interest, admission to the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, food, lodging and transportation.
Area activities: In your free time, experience Cusco, the Sacred Valley and Lima and enjoy traditional Peruvian dinners with fellow volunteers.
