A couple tries out a new bed at a bed store.

• "Thread count" for sheets refers to the number of threads per square inch.
  
• Bed linens should be a least 180 thread count and made of Egyptian cotton.
  
• Top producers of bed fabrics: Switzerland, Germany and Italy.
  
• A quality sheet will be slightly oversized to allow two to three percent shrinkage the first time it is washed.
  
• Do not use fabric softener on sheets and pillowcases.
  
• Buy a fitted sheet with elastic.
  
• Wash your sheets before putting them on your bed.
