Gia Bocra Host of The Wandering Golfer
The host of FINE LIVING TV NETWORK's The Wandering Golfer, Gia Bocra, was born to golf. She started golfing with her father and brother at age 15, and the following year was the only girl on the boys varsity team. Nine years later, she turned pro.
Gia was the LPGA Teaching Professional at the top-ranked Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ. Prior to Trump Golf, she served as golf instructor at the Academy of Golf at Palm Beach Polo & Country Club. She worked alongside Director of Instruction, Mike Adams, one of the country's top golf instructors (GOLF Magazine and Golf Digest). In addition, she has taught with Todd Anderson at his former Golf Academy at The Breakers in Palm Beach, FL, and her mentor, Krista Dunton, Director of Instruction at Belfair Golf Club. While earning her degree in Journalism at Rutgers University in New Jersey, Gia was captain of the women's golf team.
More than 10 years experience in the golf business allowed Gia to develop the ability to communicate with all skills levels, and her animated personality adds feminine flair to an already unpredictable game. Gia loves to be outdoors, especially with a first-timer: 'I believe my biggest accomplishment as a golf professional is the rewarding feeling I have when someone comes to me who has never swung a club in their life and within a few months, I have them confidently strolling down the fairways with their friends.
Join Gia as she combines her love of broadcasting and golf as the host of FINE LIVINGs The Wandering Golfer.
