Destiny and DeterminationJoin
Windshield America for a journey to Georgetown, South Carolina, where we meet John and Dwight Parker (though good friends, they're not related!). Ninety-three years ago, John's family lost Mansfield, their beloved rice plantation, due to financial difficulties. But a few years back, John repurchased the property, restored it and opened it as a bed-and-breakfast. Dwight Parker, whose great-grandfather was a slave on Mansfield, is now working closely with John to also restore the Mansfield slave village.
Then it's a cross-country trek out to the West Coast, where we meet lifelong crab fisherman Mark Alley, a resident of Pacifica, California. It's not an exaggeration to say that Mark's life is the sea: when he's not out in the open waters fishing, he's creating original sea-inspired art.
