Devotion and CompassionHeather Templeton travels to San Francisco to meet the Reverend Cecil Williams, of Glide Memorial United Methodist Church. With Glide since 1963, the Reverend Mr. Williams is a community leader, an author and the pastor of a 10,000-member congregation. Advocating diversity, spirituality and compassion, the church feeds over a million meals a year to the hungry and offers the hope of recovery and healing in the lives of the city's most marginalized.
Then we fly down to Shreveport, Louisiana, to meet Linda Brent, the founder of "Chimp Haven," a sanctuary built to house and protect chimpanzees that have "retired" from scientific research facilities.
