Corporate executive Susan Chalfant likes the security and stability of the job she's held for 10 years, but she absolutely loves working with flowers. She's seriously contemplating leaving her job to become a florist and is delighted when Hank Maarse, vice president of the prestigious Pasadena floral shop Jacob Maarse, offers to show her what it might mean to run her own shop.

As Chalfant's mentor, Maarse lets her find out first-hand that a busy floral business isn't always bed of roses.
